About the Applied Biological Technologies Initiative
The San Joaquin Biotechnology Center is one of six centers in
California whose mission is to facilitate improved community college
effectiveness in supporting biotechnology-related economic development
in California. The centers lay the groundwork for comprehensive
educational programs that prepare the workforce for new jobs.
The Centers are funded by a grant from the California Community
College Chancellor's Office, one of ten Economic Development initiatives
